CHILDREN'S LITERATURE
An expert in Canadian children's literature, Elly has sat on the board of the Canadian Children's Book Centre and is a longtime supporter of The Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP) and The Toronto Public Library. She is actively involved in the I Read Canadian campaign, serving as an advisor and managing the social media platforms.

Elly is currently writing her first children's book.
THEATRE
As President of Barlin-Daniels’ Productions, Elly is the lead producer of a new Broadway-bound musical. She is an investor in the Broadway production of Matthew Lopez’s Olivier and Drama Desk award-winning The Inheritance, and numerous Canadian theatre productions.

Elly serves on the board of Crow's Theatre in Toronto, and on the Advisory Boards of Chilina Kennedy’s Eclipse Theatre Company, and the Harold Green Jewish Theatre.
She also works with many of Toronto’s non-profit theatres, including Theatre 20, where she was Associate Producer and publicist for Stephen Sondheim’s 'Company,' directed by Gary Griffin, and starring Brent Carver; Louise Pitre; and Nia Vardalos.

MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
Elly began her career in Winnipeg as producer and on-air host at CKY-TV (CTV) Winnipeg. She was staff publicist and producer at CKND-TV (Global) Winnipeg, and network publicist at CTV in Toronto,
where she launched classics Murphy Brown and Roseanne in Canada,
as well as other news, entertainment and educational programs. At the Corporation of Roy Thomson and Massey Hall, and at First Choice Canadian Communications Corporation (The Movie Network), Elly was responsible for all artist, corporate, and board public relations and publicity.
PHILANTHROPY
Elly is philanthropist and advisor to non-profit organizations, supporting and producing events for the Michael J. Fox Foundation; The Canadian Children's Book Centre; The Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers; the Toronto Public Library; the National Ballet of Canada; Mt. Sinai Hospital; the Royal Conservatory ofÂ
